Late bar · DJ set
at Sin É · Coburg Street, Co. Cork
Wednesdays til 02:00. Indie / alt set, no cover before 23:00. Cork's late-night scene in a room that takes it seriously.
Ireland's biggest county has the sessions to match — from Sin É on Coburg Street to De Barra's Folk Club in Clonakilty, right down to the Beara Peninsula.
Cork city's trad scene centres on the Coburg Street area and a handful of pubs that have kept the music alive through every music trend. But the county's real session jewels are outside the city: Clonakilty has De Barra's, a national institution since 1975, and the West Cork coast has the kind of isolated pubs where sessions run all night because there's nowhere else to go.
